These past few days, Nano Banana has officially launched and completely blown up across all my social media feeds. It’s now the undisputed king of AI image editing with its incredible inpainting capabilities.
Although I wrote about Nano Banana’s character consistency prowess a few days ago in “New King Nano Banana Takes the Throne, Epic AI Image Editing Upgrade,” back then it was only available through lmarena’s lottery system, which wasn’t very convenient.
Plus, I felt that my previous article was limited by lmarena’s blind testing nature - I couldn’t fully showcase Nano Banana’s true potential.
But now, whether it’s Twitter, official accounts, or Xiaohongshu, there are so many mind-blowing examples everywhere. I’ve been having a blast with it for two days, and honestly, just changing backgrounds and outfits isn’t cutting it anymore ==
So today, I’m sharing the ultimate collection of Nano Banana tips and advanced techniques that will transform how you use this AI powerhouse. These Nano Banana tips cover everything from basic tricks to professional-level strategies.
Without further ado, let’s dive into these game-changing Nano Banana tips.

Here’s the prompt:

I first made one of Furina.
Then I made one of a cat.
NB is incredibly detailed - it even recreated the dirty little cat paws…
Feeling inspired, I also made one of an old friend.
This Nano Banana tip is perfect for cosplay enthusiasts. Just give NB a photo of yourself and a photo of the character you want to cosplay. This technique shows how powerful these Nano Banana tips can be for character transformation: Have the person in image one cosplay the character in image two, matching the outfit, makeup, props, and style of image two.
And you get—
While it’s not a perfect recreation - the gun is a bit different, the neck collar has slight variations, and the pants are full-length instead of knee-high - the overall effect is spot-on, and the outfit and props have great texture quality.
This is one of my favorite Nano Banana tips, building on the cosplay example from above.
Prompt: Make the character in image two perform the action from image one.
This Nano Banana tip showcases NB’s impressive comprehension abilities - even if you just give it stick figure drawings, it knows exactly what you mean. These advanced Nano Banana tips prove how intuitive the AI really is.

Inspired by this master’s work, I explored these artistic Nano Banana tips for line art conversion and coloring capabilities.
Prompt: Color the line art in image two using the color palette from image one.
The experience with these Nano Banana tips was buttery smooth.
Line art conversion worked on my first try.
Coloring took five or six attempts, but the final result turned out like this - it didn’t follow the color palette perfectly, but the overall tone was right.
Here’s another decent coloring example for you to check out.
This gaming-focused Nano Banana tip really blew me away with its UI interface capabilities.
Prompt: A fantasy RPG game screenshot, featuring the single main character in the picture standing in the center, handing a book and a torch, detailed ruined temple environment with ancient stone pillars, vines, stained glass windows, glowing magical atmosphere, cinematic lighting. The visual quality is great, but the text generation in this image still doesn’t work after several tries - text generation is Big Banana’s weak spot.
Prompt: Create a nine-panel comic based on the image content, telling a story through visuals and camera angles.
This is what NB delivered.
Here’s another one - while the visuals have flaws, I really like its storytelling approach with flashback insertions.

To wrap up these comprehensive Nano Banana tips, here’s the current state of Nano Banana.
It’s become much more convenient to use compared to a few days ago.
You can now use Nano Banana directly on Google’s AI Studio and Gemini:

lmarena now has the official Nano Banana version - no more lottery system.

There’s also the design agent Lovart, which integrated Nano Banana first thing and announced free weekend access. Agent + Banana combo is pretty cool:
About NB’s capabilities showcased in these Nano Banana tips - the consistency is genuinely incredible.
But you still need to roll the dice and try multiple times.
Also, it struggles with multiple subjects - having multiple main subjects tends to cause issues. For example, photoshopping missing people into group photos isn’t really feasible yet.
There are drawbacks too - Chinese text generation is absolutely terrible. If you want to add Chinese text to images, Jimeng is still unmatched in this area.
Another issue is image compression - the quality definitely gets compressed.
Luckily, @irene recommended this website that helps restore images to high definition:

One more thing - I really need them to add a one-click regeneration feature.
Otherwise, every time you want to try again, you have to re-upload images and prompts. So annoying…
But overall, Google has really redeemed itself this time.
I remember a few months ago when GPT-4o was dominating, Google released their voice-controlled image editing 2.0 flash, only to be completely ignored by everyone - becoming the AI world’s equivalent of Wang Feng.
But now Google has finally scored a comeback.
This company’s foundational strength is just terrifying.
That’s all for now with these essential Nano Banana tips! I hope these techniques and strategies help you master this incredible AI tool. ⭐ Thanks for reading this comprehensive guide to Nano Banana tips, see you next time for more advanced tricks and methods!
